The late George A. Callitsis (1889-1942) born in London, was the grand father of Andreas A. Callitsis and great grand father of Nassos A. Callitsis respectively, established in Piraeus a shipping agency and a shipbroking office back in 1905. The company expanded rapidly and involved successfully into ship management. WWII broke and company's fleet was lost as a result of war hostilities.
After the World War II, Nassos G. Callitsis (1922-1980) the son of George, father of Andreas and grand father of Nassos, remobilized the office which still today continues operating successfully by the “Callitsis” fourth generation remaining committed to the principles and ethics of the trade.
